Hey Cat, my daughter Brittany is your biggest fan. She is 10 years old and does nothing but talk about being as good as you. She has played softball for 3 years and in 10u she is one of the best left handed pitcher in our league. She wants to do what it takes to become as good as you are. If you have any pointers let her know please. We want so bad to make it to one of your local games.

I have played softball my whole life up till 8th graede, I became very ill and wasn't able to play but now as a junior I am getting very healthy again and I will be able to play ball in the fall. Dear Cat: I caught your game against Michigan today. My son loved to watch you and would have been keep track of your pitching while he was in Iraq. Unfortunately, on Feb. 7, 2007, he was killed on his last flight. He was a Medi-vac pilot with the Marines. He loved your cool, collective demeanor. Good luck in Bejing. I never cared much for softball even though we were nearly neighbors (my daughter graduated from Langham Creek 2002) [grin]. Somewhere along the line, I saw you on ESPN pitching for U.T. in the World Series. I was amazed at what you could do with a softball and then I realized that everyone on the field was doing amazing things. (I was very sad that you didn't make it to the top that year.) A few weeks ago, I found ESPN broadcasting one of the games on this tour and started paying attention. Drat! By the time I found out y'alls would be in Williamsport they said that Bowman field was sold out. My luck.
