I admire that you are so busy with school, coaching, practice, and checking in on tucker!
Just wanted to give my support and send you a HUGE Thank You. This week while you were doing a seminar at the Mohegan Sun you were talking to my uncle, he was on the phone with my 12 year old daughter, Megan. She is a pitcher and the biggest Cat fan there is, well apparently you got on the cell phone and spoke to my daughter for a couple of minutes and she was in shock, it meant more to her than you can possibly imagine. Megan said she froze up and didn't know what to say, but she was so thrilled. Thank you so much for that. It is little things like that that mean the world to people and most famous people would never bother to give the time to get on the phone. It is something Megan will remember the rest of her life. The best of luck to you in '09 and we will keep on giving you 100% support, we love you Cat!!!!!!

First of all let me start by saying that you looked gorgeous in all of your pics! So glad to hear that all is well. You are such an awesome pitcher and it nice knowing that you are passionate about a sport that I love too. You always bring it and you rocked at the 2008 games :) I live in Colorado and go boarding too so i thought that was tight that you came and enjoyed yourself and your stay.
I am So Glad to see that you are well. i always love to see you. it is really cool that i am writing to you. i really hope that i become as good as you. right now i am 12 years old and i pitch about 49 mph. that is really COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so far i now three different pitches. i know a fast ball, change up, and a curve ball. i am still worjing on the curve, but i hope it gets better. i can not wait to see you on T.V. again. See you Soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We think your the best ,I'm a pitcher too and i love it i have to really work hard i try to pitch at least 5 days a week because I'm trying to be as versital as i can be .I am pitching about 54mph. I have only been pitching for 1 1/2 years. I want to be the type of pitcher you are i can now locate my fastball anywhere i pitch it i also have a turnover change up a, curve ball , a screw ball ,and I've just about got my rise ball I'm 13 yrs old and have a long way to go.I started playing travel ball when i was 11 and i played 105 games last year and looking forward to this year do you have any advice for a up and coming pitcher that wants to break all records that's put before me in the future. Controlling my mental game is real critical to me since it all starts with mind do you have any advice of getting prepared before a game mentally and when things is getting tough on the field how you deal i would like to know I'm on the right track. And what is the best way to get discovered when your from a small town in Tennessee. Oh I'm right handed ha ha and i love hitting the ball i get that from my dad he can crush a ball and helps me with my pitching to i just need to get my name out there i want to play for Tennessee or Texas longhorns and beat your records ha ha. By the way when did you start pitching? When did you start playing softball? You are a really great pitcher and role model.I guess you are very pleased with yourself i would be. That is were i want to be one day. How tall were you when you were 13 yrs old? I'm only 5'4 hoping to grow soon. Sorry for all the questions. Hope to talk to ya soon. TTYL Sammie Jo Ivy. Enville Tn, Chester Cty. %^) !!! (^%

Glad to hear your holidays went well mine too. Course getting a little figity waiting for spring and a whole new softball season. Tucker has grown up quite a bit i see. He probably follows you around all time like mine do. I saw your snowboarding pics. Looks like you had fun but be careful my friend took up the sport and wiped out on her first trip to the mountains and broke her arm in 4 places! Ouch. Well gotta go just wanted to say "hey" ....its' been a while take care ... your biggest fan in Sharon Pa
My name is Katia Newton of Elmira N.Y. I play for Lady Ice Fast pitch Softball. We are a 10u team that travels to near by places. I am a 10 year old catcher that still needs work to be so a catcher. This is my first year catching and I love to catch. You are my role model. And I would love to meet you very badly. I was just wondering if we could be pen pales and write back and forth on pitching skills so I can tell my #1 pitcher (Alivia Clark) skills that you use and so I can learn more things about pitching. Thanks for reading this! Talk to you later if you have the time! Bye!

You are the greatest pitcher ever to me!
.. What can I say, i am a huge fan! I have watched all of your games. I want so bad to come to one of your USA games to watch you, however, money is short these days. I have always wanted to meet you. You are my all-time role model. I have accomplished my screw ball, rise ball, my change up, and my curve ball. But they do need some improving to get as good as you. When I finish highschool, I hope to go to either the Texas, Longhorns and play for them, or Arizona. It has been my dream to meet you and follow in your footsteps. I hope I can accomplish that dream. I am a true Cat Osterman fan..
I was also wondering if you had any advice. Like for warming up, during the game, practices, tips on my screw balls and change ups, things that has helped you become better at softball.
Once again, you are favorite player and my hero, I hope you have a WONDERFUL Valentines Day. Thank You.

I can throw a change-up fast ball and drop ball. I can already throw up to 45 mph.
In life we never really now how deeply we impact others, and hopefully by way of these words you can get at the very least a glimpse of how you've impacted my very own journey. You're continuously thought of here in high, warm, and sincere regards!

My 11 year old daughter tried out for her school team and didn't make it. You are her idol. She wants to be great like you and practices really hard. She didn't get to show her pitching skills at the tryouts, so she is pretty bummed. We feel really bad for her. Do you have any encouraging words that might help her feel better? We would appreciate and be forever grateful of any help you could give her.
Thanks from Sledge's mom and dad.
I know you probably don't have time to read everything that u recieve on this blog. And that is totally cool with me. I just want to say that u r a great softball player and an awesome role model to everyone. I am a 13 year old girl playing on a college preperation team right now. My first practice is 2nite. I am xcited. Well i think it would be really cool if you could email me some tips. that would be really cool of you. Thanx
I am a huge fan of yours! My name is Courtney Crawford, I live in Atascadero California, and I am a lefty! =) I have played for over 7 years and I play 1st and pitcher. In my fastpitch league I am the only left handed girl, in the entire league. I love that, but I field left, but bat right! I am in the process of learning how to hit, slap, and bunt left but, as I said, I'm just beginning! haha! I think it is so cool that you can bat left, sometimes I wish I could bat left, but batting right I take as a special gift the "softball god" gave me! =) I really wish I could come see one of your games, but none are local =( but someday I will watch you. Well, right now I have been pitching 7 days a week, I am getting very tired, so I have been taking a break this week. I am not a very fast pitcher, but I have speed, and I can place the ball, but sometimes I can't get my speed to go with my control? I really am practicing really hard, but sometimes I can't keep control and speed. I also need help with my change ups, and how to make the ball spin a certain way...any advice??? haha i could use some because I am one of the main pitchers, and our season is getting closer and closer, so if you have any helpful advice i could use it! Thank you so so so much!
<3courtney
p.s. when I pitch I also need help with placing my foot toward where I want the ball to go, and how big of a step I get. Like when you step, it gives you momentum, and speed but it is hard to remember...HELP!!!! haha thank you! <3
