    Hi Cat,

Just wanted to give my support and send you a HUGE Thank You. This week while you were doing a seminar at the Mohegan Sun you were talking to my uncle, he was on the phone with my 12 year old daughter, Megan. She is a pitcher and the biggest Cat fan there is, well apparently you got on the cell phone and spoke to my daughter for a couple of minutes and she was in shock, it meant more to her than you can possibly imagine. Megan said she froze up and didn't know what to say, but she was so thrilled. Thank you so much for that. It is little things like that that mean the world to people and most famous people would never bother to give the time to get on the phone. It is something Megan will remember the rest of her life. The best of luck to you in '09 and we will keep on giving you 100% support, we love you Cat!!!!!!

hey Cat! I am so jazzed to hear that Megan will be joining you in Rockford!! you guys will Rock! I also was so happy to hear that you had a blast on you're trip to snow board, i'm sure that you picked it up fast being the great athlete that you are. i really liked the pics, you and you're bro did a great job on the lights! it looked so homey and inviting. i am also glad you got a GPS, you sound like you have about the same sense of direction i have, when i lived in california, my parents came out to see me and we had a dinner thing, they ended up just fine back at my apartment, but my bro and i ended up in chino, about an hour and a half in the wrong direction! i reallly need a GPS, still don't have one but.... well take care and keep on keepin on. i know you will ace you're classes.

She is a great catcher!! =) I love watching her catch, and you pitch!!! And a big thank you for all you do to inspire me and everyone of us dreaming to play softball, and for all you do to helpteach us to understand, and get better at the game! There is no one better than you to be learning the game from! Have a great rest of the week and talk to you soon!!!! I hope you write soon again, because I like posting comments on here! =)

Hey Cat! :) you dont know how good i feel about you possibly getting the chance to read this right now! :) my name is kelly and i am fixing to be in high school! i have played softball since i was 4 and now i am on (technically) 3 teams. i still practice with my middle school team, i am trying out for my high school team this coming fall, and i play on a travelball team. lol. i have been pitching since i was in the 5th grade and i am the numerone pitcher for my middle school and travel team (and hopefull the high school team when i get ther lol). You have been my inspiration this whole time...i have your bat by Demarini, your batting gloves, wristbands, trading card, and most importantly, your technique. i dont even know how but in some way, i have developed your pitching technique lol. Anywho, i have been wanted to go o UT Austin since about the 3rd grade and i hope i can get there by playing softball. I hope to be just like you one day, or at least as good as you are. thanks for listening to me and i hope that by some lucky chance i will get to meet you in the future. Love ya lots! :)

    Love Always,
Kelly- your *hopefully* #1 fan :)

Hey Cat, you are absolutely bad ass. I've actually become a softball fan because of you. I am a die hard Seattle Seahawk fan. I like what I read about you pulling for Native Americans in movies. And your comment about shooting for the moon because you still might land on a star. Um I might have totally messed that up but you get the picture. My name is Patrick and I am a Lakota Sioux Native American and am a big fan of yours.

Hello, just thought i'd drop by and say Hi, do you plan to incorporate you're degree in you're coaching or do you eventually want to go into being a counselor, maybe? you would excel at that i have a feeling, you have so much compassion for people! I saw an interview that you did a few years back and they said something about you, maybe wanting to be in broadcasting? If so you would be great at that, you are a well rounded speaker and have insite into sports of course. take it easy. Keep hitting the books")

Hey Cat My Name is Samantha Leigh Hearne, I am 13 years old (almost by b-day is April 2nd), my height is 5" 3", and I own a Shetland Sheepdog who like to chase my wild pitches. My Hometown is Muster Indiana, but currently I live in Dyer Indiana. I have only pitched for two years and have come a long way. I am a great all around player and know how to play every position well. My Dad is my number one fan and coach. We recently placed 1st in Dyer Indiana's town ball, and it was my dads first year coaching, but he had played softball all of his life and my mom to. I have been asked to play on a couple of travel teams, but had turned them down because my father isn't working right now, (he is a carpenter). I am a huge fan of yours and have you as someone i would like to meet on my myspace page, and i also tell a little bit about you. I would someday like to meet you in person, but for now i am stuck in Indiana. My dream is to go to a Texas college. My mom wants me to either get a band, or softball scholarship to college. Well its about time for me to go practice with my dad, ta ta for now!!

Hi, Cat! My name is Mayra. I have a 6 yr old daughter that loves to watch and play softball. We live in Chicago, IL and I was wondering if you or any other people offer summer camps for girls that age. It has been very difficult for me to find a camp for her. I am 25 yrs old and still play in a league here in Chicago in the Humboldt Park area. I've started to teach my daughter how to pitch but I would definitely will love for her to attend a camp. Please let me know any information you might know. Thank you!! Keep up the good work!!!

    Hey Cat,
We think your the best ,I'm a pitcher too and i love it i have to really work hard i try to pitch at least 5 days a week because I'm trying to be as versital as i can be .I am pitching about 54mph. I have only been pitching for 1 1/2 years. I want to be the type of pitcher you are i can now locate my fastball anywhere i pitch it i also have a turnover change up a, curve ball , a screw ball ,and I've just about got my rise ball I'm 13 yrs old and have a long way to go.I started playing travel ball when i was 11 and i played 105 games last year and looking forward to this year do you have any advice for a up and coming pitcher that wants to break all records that's put before me in the future. Controlling my mental game is real critical to me since it all starts with mind do you have any advice of getting prepared before a game mentally and when things is getting tough on the field how you deal i would like to know I'm on the right track. And what is the best way to get discovered when your from a small town in Tennessee. Oh I'm right handed ha ha and i love hitting the ball i get that from my dad he can crush a ball and helps me with my pitching to i just need to get my name out there i want to play for Tennessee or Texas longhorns and beat your records ha ha. By the way when did you start pitching? When did you start playing softball? You are a really great pitcher and role model.I guess you are very pleased with yourself i would be. That is were i want to be one day. How tall were you when you were 13 yrs old? I'm only 5'4 hoping to grow soon. Sorry for all the questions. Hope to talk to ya soon. TTYL Sammie Jo Ivy. Hey Cat!! My name is Maranda Perdue from Burkesville, Kentucky. I play softball for my Middle School team. I am 13 years old and can pitch 57 mph. I even practice and scremage against my highschool team to try and get better. I know I still have a long ways to go, but I hope to be just like you. The town where i live is very small, but I'm trying to make a big name for me and get my name out about my abilities as a young softball pitcher.
You are the greatest pitcher ever to me!
.. What can I say, i am a huge fan! I have watched all of your games. I want so bad to come to one of your USA games to watch you, however, money is short these days. I have always wanted to meet you. You are my all-time role model. I have accomplished my screw ball, rise ball, my change up, and my curve ball. But they do need some improving to get as good as you. When I finish highschool, I hope to go to either the Texas, Longhorns and play for them, or Arizona. It has been my dream to meet you and follow in your footsteps. I hope I can accomplish that dream. I am a true Cat Osterman fan..

I was also wondering if you had any advice. Like for warming up, during the game, practices, tips on my screw balls and change ups, things that has helped you become better at softball.
Once again, you are favorite player and my hero, I hope you have a WONDERFUL Valentines Day. Thank You.

Hello! I hope you had a blast at the coaches convention, i know you're schedule is really busy between the Blue Demon schedule and school, how do you do it? Then the pro season will start up also, Did i read the article wrong or are you a brakette now, or was that just Jenny, or did I read it all the way wrong, I always figured you would be with Rockford, for a while yet. I would assume that you will be on the national team also. Wait is there a National Team still? I get confused. If so, again how do you do it? you have to be exhausted! take care, stay Healthy

    Hello, Cat,

My 11 year old daughter tried out for her school team and didn't make it. You are her idol. She wants to be great like you and practices really hard. She didn't get to show her pitching skills at the tryouts, so she is pretty bummed. We feel really bad for her. Do you have any encouraging words that might help her feel better? We would appreciate and be forever grateful of any help you could give her.

Thanks from Sledge's mom and dad.

    Dear Cat Osterman,
I am a huge fan of yours! My name is Courtney Crawford, I live in Atascadero California, and I am a lefty! =) I have played for over 7 years and I play 1st and pitcher. In my fastpitch league I am the only left handed girl, in the entire league. I love that, but I field left, but bat right! I am in the process of learning how to hit, slap, and bunt left but, as I said, I'm just beginning! haha! I think it is so cool that you can bat left, sometimes I wish I could bat left, but batting right I take as a special gift the "softball god" gave me! =) I really wish I could come see one of your games, but none are local =( but someday I will watch you. Well, right now I have been pitching 7 days a week, I am getting very tired, so I have been taking a break this week. I am not a very fast pitcher, but I have speed, and I can place the ball, but sometimes I can't get my speed to go with my control? I really am practicing really hard, but sometimes I can't keep control and speed. I also need help with my change ups, and how to make the ball spin a certain way...any advice??? haha i could use some because I am one of the main pitchers, and our season is getting closer and closer, so if you have any helpful advice i could use it! Thank you so so so much!
    <3courtney
p.s. when I pitch I also need help with placing my foot toward where I want the ball to go, and how big of a step I get. Like when you step, it gives you momentum, and speed but it is hard to remember...HELP!!!! haha thank you! <3
