Hello Cat. You have an unbelievably busy schedule. Not trying to sound like a coach or anything but if you don't get yourself some "me" time you leave yourself vulnerable to sicknesses and such. Good luck getting yourselves some new recruits. I think for your sport you would probably be able to sway more recruits than just about anybody. Are you gonna go snowboarding in Vail. I'm tall too. 6' 2" and I know its tougher for taller people to snowboard. We do alot of that up here in Washington State. I will probably go back to the middle east for work and miss most of the rainy season here and live summer all over, except it'll be hotter and I'll be working. Last October I flew to Dubai to meet a ship and went from snow here to 105 degrees overnight. Talk about shock. Culture shock, jet lag, weather lag. Ugh. Well, take care of yourself Cat..........Always ur fan........Patrick

My name is Jacey and I am 12 years old. I attend Fayette Middle School and I am a softball pitcher. I know that you are very busy but I was wondering if you could tell me what I would need to do to become a pitcher for a DI school when I graduate. I am currently throwing 6 different pitches pretty consistently with a fast ball in the low 50s. I see a pitching coach twice a month. I will be the
starting pitcher for the middle school team this year. I also play with a travel team. I would like to set goals but I want to make sure that I have a track to follow. Can you please offer some advice?

Thank you so much for your help.

    Hi Cat,

My name is Jenifer Goldberg and I live in Chicago, Illinois. I know that some time ago Bob Tanz, the assistant coach at the Latin School of Chicago, bumped into you and mentioned me. He told me that you would possibly be interested in giving me pitching lessons. Even if you only have time for a few let me know because I would be more than honored to learn one on one from you. I will leave my contact information with your management team.

    Thanks again,

    Jen Goldberg

Hey Cat! I haven't commented in a while 'cuz let's just say I've been "unavoidably detained." Anywho, I hope you read the Lost Symbol 'cuz i just finished it and while I'm normally not that into fiction, with the exception of Dan Brown's books of course, I can confidently and unequivocally say that the Lost Symbol is just absolutely beyond words. Can't wait to get your feedback on it if and when you read it. Trust me, it is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! Glad to hear ur doing well, probably due in large part to the fact that you haven't received any "care packages" from me lately, lol. Best of luck in all your current and future endeavours!

p.s. i hope the rosetta stone has helped u in your pursuit of learning the spanish language and i hope that somewhere in the darkest recesses of your heart there's at least a very tiny spot for my scrolls, etc. although if i were u I'd prob be a little...well you know, ;->

    Love Always,

Dear Cat, You are such a busy young lady that this may not register but at your recent clinic on Kent Island, you took some of your valuable time to meet this old guy, give him a hug, had some conversation and then signed my softball with a special message. I suspect that my Son had a little to do with it but that is O.K. Just want you to know how much I appreciated meeting you as I have followed your career since college and just love to watch you pitch!!As I said, Akron is only about an hour away from home, wanted to get there this past season but did not make it - will definitely be there when you come to town next season. Hope the Thunder sale does not cause a problem. I have many wonderful memories from being on this good earth 80 years and now I have another one to add. Your kindness touched me more than you will ever know. God bless you and wish you continued success in all you do. From a quote in a book by Mitch Albom " Remember that the most important thing in life is to give out love and let it come in" You already know that-right? Will love and remember you always. From your #1 Fan. Tom Bowman
