Hey Cat, i heard that you got a new dog, i think sheltie dogs are really cute and i love the name that you gave him=) i also have a dog, he's a bichon frise and his name is jasper=) i hope you and your dog have a great time together=) im just so glad that i can finally get on my computer and write to you on your website=) yesturday i had softball practice and i pitched and hit a lot, i got a good work out too. i love practice and being with my teammates=) i have a softball game tomorrow cuz im also on my school softball team(hopefully we'll win=) ) im on like 3 softball teams, i play on a traveling team, a city league team, and im on my school team and i love it=) i just cant wait to be old enough to go to the University of Texas and play on the softball team there and then play for Team USA=) playing for Team USA is my dream and hopefully you'll still be on the team by 2016 so i can play on the same team with you, that would just be so GREAT!!! and hopefully we could win another gold medal in the olympics=)=)=) YOU ARE JUST THE GREATEST SOFTBALL PITCHER IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE UNIVERSE AND YOU'LL ALWAYS WILL BE. Hola Cat, glad to see you're doing good. Thanks for answering the question about the Oprah show. Your dog looks cute you should post other pictures of him! I have a dog, Harley, he's a maltese and he also used to pee on my bed!(and everywhere else) haha but thankly he's over that now! hope the same goes for Tucker! Anywase time for me to hit the hay. Glad you're enjoying chicago. =) congrats on the coaching! I just wanted to say that you are a person I definitely look up to and hope to someday be like. I love watching you pitch especially because I'm a pitcher and I throw lefty too and I feel I can learn a lot by watching someone as good as yourself.

Her family is doing just fine. They suffered minor damage like tree limbs down, fence down, 36 hours without power were the main things, but they are doing just fine.

Cat, I hope you are enjoying your new dog! Tucker is the most adorable puppy I've seen too! Hope you can add some pics to your gallery with Tucker in them! Hi, I'm a college softball player in South Carolina and my coach informed me that he met you when ya'll played washington glory on the bound for bejiing tour. He was helping coach the glory. His name is Brandon Duncan. I ha dknow idea he was helping coach when ya'll played them but I feel so honred to play for him partially because he got to coach against ya'll and he picked off Jennie Finch's change up. haha
But on another note ya'll did amazing in the olympics and thanks for representing our country so well. Good Luck this season at DePaul, look forward to seeing ya'll make it to the world series.

right now i play baseball on several different teams. and i love the game. though im a freshman in high school this year, im allowed to try out for baseball but im making the switch to sofball. what was your best experience while playing softball? is it really different than baseball or are they close to being the same?

I have a 14year old daughter who is a Pitcher her name is Sarah. We live in the New Orleans area. She just started high school and now playing vollyball. She is on the JV team but yesterday the coach put her in a varsity game, so she pretty good in vollyball to.
Do you think she should just stick to one sport in high school?
Sarah first sport is softball. She is going to a pitiching coach and he says he has never seen a 13 year old throw 58 miles per hour.She is on a travel team and she plays on the Westbank Belles 13-15 Belles team.
Cat, Sarah and I would love for you to come see us or at least set up a little mini camp in our area for the day . Sarah and I would love to show you around, lots of things to do.

Hi Cat, This is Shea's mom (Judy). Just wanted to say congrats and we are very proud of you. You did an awesome job. Yes, you are correct life does go on, but remember you had the opportunity, a lot of girls will not get. You'll always have the memories, if not in photos, in your heart. It's not just about a medal (it's nice to have it though, isn't it?) it's what you stand for as a female athlete. Shea has nothing but great things to say about you. Hey Cat! It was really nice to see you guys on tour this year. When you guys came to my town I was on my way home from playing in a tournament. When you threw that first pitch I could not believe the silence that drew through the crowd! It was awsome how fast your snap is your movement how you bring your hip through everything its just facinating how you can do that! Me and my coaches do a little two session pitching camp that we would love for you to stop by and help us with. Cat, so many of the girls on my team and the girls that I help pitch look up to you so much! Two years ago a girl on my team got your autograph and everywhere we went we hung it up in our dugout. Hey Cat,
Well I have to start off with this; You got a dog, how wonderful! I know as puppies they are nothing but trouble, all the accidents, the torn up shoes, it is pure misery, but we got our yellow lab when she was just ten weeks, and we loved every minute of that misery, because every time she did something bad, she would give us the cutest face in the world and you couldn't help but laugh :) So don't worry, he will be house trained in no time!
And next the Oprah show, what an honor to be able to be on the Oprah show! But as everyone knows, family comes first :) But I don't get how they didn't talk that much with the softball team, I wish you were there! It would have been nice to see Jessica or Laura talk, but Jennie is okay with me :)

First I would like to say it was a honor to meet you and team USA in Prescott AZ. I also hope you and the team enjoyed the banana bread I baked for your team.
I enjoyed watching the Bejing tour and each game of the Olympics. I love watching you pitch!
I liked the article of you in Denver Magazine, August 2008.
I am sure Depaul will do well with you back on the coaching staff.
I am excited for the next Harry Potter movie to come out. I was ready to watch in November, before they moved it to June of next year. I will have to read the books again to in full Harry Potter mode come June.
I wonder who is you favorite character, Professor Minerva McGonagall.

I actually go to DePaul University in Chicago and I saw you helping someone pitch a couple days ago. I love softball and play shortstop, i also pitch though I haven't had much experience in it but I love it! I was wondering if you know anything about open tryouts to join the softball team or is it all just recruiting? I really do want to play.
